We chose M.ORO cashmere from Inner Mongolia for our products. Their yarn is certified by The Good Cashmere Standard®, which sets defined criteria for cashmere production, focused on animal welfare, fair working conditions for herders and land management in the sourcing regions.

That last part matters especially in the regions where cashmere goats are raised. Keeping the balance between herding and nature is key, as too many goats can put a lot of pressure on the land.

We also wanted to know how our products are made.

We chose to produce in Shengzhou, China, and to be closely involved in the process. We’ve visited the factory, met the people who make our products and seen first-hand how everything comes together.

And then there’s the packaging.

We've tried to keep it as simple as possible. For our shipping bags, we use paper mailers and skip plastic altogether. Inside the package, we keep things minimal too, using tissue paper instead of plastic wherever we can.

Our blankets also come in a 100% cotton bag made to be used again and again – as a nappy bag, for laundry on the go, as a toiletry bag or to keep pencils and little treasures in. What you use it for is up to you.

We question the things we buy for our kids all the time. We try to do the same with our business – making conscious choices, taking responsibility and staying true to what matters to us.
