FAQ

1. Product & Quality

Why cashmere?

Cashmere is incredibly soft, lightweight and naturally temperature-regulating. It keeps little ones warm and cosy without making them overheat.

Where does your cashmere come from?

We care about knowing where our cashmere comes from and how it’s made.
Animal welfare, fair working conditions and protecting nature are important to us. We use cashmere from M.ORO in Inner Mongolia, whose yarn is certified by The Good Cashmere Standard®. Find out more about this under Our Values.

Where are the blankets designed and made?

Our blankets are designed and developed in Austria and made in Shengzhou, China. We’ve visited the production site ourselves and have been closely involved in the process from start to finish.

From what age can the blankets and scarves be used?

Our blankets are suitable from birth and made to be loved for years – in the pram, in bed or wherever you go. Our own kids have had theirs since they were born, and they’re still their favourite blankets for cuddling up and falling asleep.

Our scarves are made for everyone, from little ones to grown-ups. Wear them as a simple bandana, style them like a Sophie scarf or however you like.

Our cashmere hoods come in two one-size options: Kids and Adults. The Kids size fits babies and children from around 9 months up to 7 years.

2. Care & Washing

How should I wash my cashmere blanket?

Cashmere doesn’t need washing very often. It naturally resists dirt, so a good airing is usually all it needs.

When it does need a wash, we recommend hand washing at 30°C with a gentle wool or cashmere detergent. Avoid rubbing, twisting or soaking. Rinse well, gently squeeze out the excess water (don’t wring) and lay flat to dry.

If you prefer to use the washing machine, choose a gentle wool cycle at 20°C. Put the blanket in a laundry bag, use a wool detergent and skip the spin cycle if possible.

Never put cashmere in the tumble dryer. If needed, iron on a low setting.

Can I put my cashmere blanket in the tumble dryer?

No. The heat and movement can cause cashmere to shrink, felt or lose its shape.

After washing, gently squeeze out the excess water – never wring it – and lay the blanket flat on a towel to dry. While it’s still damp, gently reshape it if needed.

What if my cashmere starts to pill?

Cashmere is a very fine natural fibre, so some pilling can happen, especially with friction. Our blankets and scarves tend to pill very little, but if you do notice some, you can easily remove it with a cashmere comb.

3. Orders & Shipping

Where do you ship?

Right now, we ship to Austria, Germany and the Netherlands due to the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

We’re working on adding more countries soon. If you’re based somewhere else, just drop us a line at info@findingdodo.com and we’ll see what we can do.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery within Austria usually takes 2–4 business days. Orders to Germany and the Netherlands usually arrive within 3–5 business days.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes – shipping is free on orders over €99.

For orders under €99, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.

Can I return something if I change my mind?

Of course. You can return unused items within 14 days, as long as they’re in their original condition and packaging.
